Meet Graham
Graham M. Bennett, B.A. (Hons)., LL.B., C.S.
Graham is a trial lawyer with over three decades of courtroom experience.
Graham spent years acting for large insurance companies. Now he has a combined practice acting for both insurers and individual claimants.
Graham has acquired a broad range of civil, criminal, and quasi-criminal trial experience, and now restricts his practice primarily to civil litigation. He has acted for clients who have had cases in all levels of the Ontario Courts and in the Supreme Court of Canada. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1993, Graham was a partner at one of Kitchener's larger law firms for many years before launching his own specialized litigation practice in Kitchener's downtown Heritage District before joining the Lerners firm in October 2020.
Graham's litigation and insurance experience includes automobile, property and casualty, municipal liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, fire loss, occupiers' and employers' liability, and commercial litigation. Graham has represented companies and individuals in complex litigation matters and has had many reported cases. He often represents clients at civil mediations. Graham's current practice is focussed on serious and catastrophic injury, fatalities, and insurance litigation including large-loss muncipal liability work.
Graham is a member of the Advocates Society, the American Association for Justice, the Waterloo and Ontario Bar Associations. He is a current member and former board director of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and a past member of Canadian Defence Lawyers.
Graham is a trained mediator and taught Canadian Legal Procedure at the Political Science Department at the University of Waterloo for many years as a sessional lecturer.
Over the years, Graham has traveled much of the world by motorcycle and has a special interest in insurance law as it applies to motorcyclists.
